We welcome you between 11:00 am and 11:30 am at the legendary Bierhuis Oud Beersel with a glass of BZART Lambic or a delicious fruit juice as an aperitif. We offer you an extensive and original brunch, with a large part of the artisanal products made with our beers . If there are specific dietary needs, for vegetarian food or allergies, please inform us at the time of your reservation. If desired, the brunch can also be ordered without beer pairing. There is also a kids brunch for children up to 12 years old. BRUNCH: – Aperitif drink: Bzart Lambiek 2018 or a fruit juice – Water, coffee, tea – Trio of mini viennoiseries – Sourdough bread with Bersalis Tripel Oak Aged – Marmalade of cherries macerated on Lambic – Honey from Oud Beersel cherry orchard – Saint-Étienne cheese, made with Oud Beersel Lambic – Pottekeis with Sparkling Lambic – Mousse of ham – Roast beef from Hoeve Cuvry – Pickled veggies on Lambic – Boiled farm egg – Artisanal quiche – Salted Butter Caramel ice cream with beer or Vanilla ice cream without beer and sugar BEER PAIRING: We will serve you a tasting stave with 3 special Oud Beersel beers in 15 cl glasses. These beers are normally only sold by the bottle. The selection varies every brunch. Afterwards you can order à la carte beers at will. A few days after the reservation you will receive a confirmation, in which you will also find the payment details. To complete the experience, of course we will also let you taste our Oude Geuze. Next, wander through the cherry orchard, located just behind our brewery, as you make your way to the Beersel Castle. Although Beersel is only 10 km from Brussels, it offers fantastic views of the nature and fauna that the Senne Valley has to offer. A tasty Kriekenlambiek cannot be missed here. During the walk you will learn about the bombardment of Beersel Castle in 1489. It was then that cannons, located in what is now the Kriekengaard, fired on the castle in an attempt to thwart the rule of the Holy Roman Emperor. When analyzing the ballistics and trajectory of cannonballs found within the castle walls, it was determined that they were fired from the spot where our Schaarbeekse cherry trees currently grow! Once you reach the castle, you will get a brief introduction to its history and, of course, another tasting of Lambic beer . In total, the event lasts about 2.5 hours. It’s a great way to learn more about our beers and our history. PRACTICAL INFO: The tour will be given in Dutch. Registration is required and is €25 per person.
